Robert P. Ufer Bequest
(Through 2006 Season)
This award is presented on behalf of Bob Ufer, the Voice of Meechigan football for 37 years. In a U-M career that spanned five decades, Bob broadcast 362 straight games. During his college career, Bob set eight Michigan track records, including a world record quarter-mile. Bob was also famous for his annual OSU-Michigan pep rallies at the Mud Bowl and was the keynote speaker for President Fords presidential kickoff rally in 1976. In fond memory of Bob, this scholarship is awarded to the senior football player who demonstrates the most enthusiasm and love for U-M.
