Diaz-Luong Leads Wolverines at USA Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- On the final day of competition (Friday, Aug. 12) at the 2005 USA Gymnastics Championships, Michigan assistant coach Daniel Diaz-Luong placed ninth in the all-around with a two-day combined score of 102.125. His best performance over the weekend came on the parallel bars, where he tied for sixth place, scoring an 8.75 on the first day and an 8.45 on the second day, for a combined total of 17.20.
Former Wolverine Geoff Corrigan, who was in fifth place after the first day of competition, ended the weekend in 12th position overall with a score of 100.300.
Future Michigan gymnast Joe Catrambone finished third in the junior division with a total of 95.15, with fellow incoming freshman Ralf Rosso right behind in fourth with a 94.875.
Eight members of the U.S. Senior National Team have been named thus far, with six more yet to be named.
