The Wolverines set an NCAA total attendance record this season with 882,065 fans witnessing the eight-game home slate at Michigan Stadium (110,258 average).
Today's announced crowd of 111,941 fans is the second largest in the history of Michigan Stadium and the 208th consecutive crowd of 100,000-plus fans. Today's attendance trails the school-record mark of 112,118 fans set against Ohio State on Nov. 22, 2003, in the 100th game of the rivalry.
U-M is now 57-41-6 all-time against the Buckeyes, including a 22-17-3 mark at the Big House.
Senior quarterback Chad Henne completed 11-of-34 passes for 68 yards against Ohio State.
Senior tailback Mike Hart (4,911 yards, 2004-07) passed Michigan State's Lorenzo White (4,887, 1984-86) for fourth place on the Big Ten's career rushing list.
Taking the handoff at 4:39 in the second quarter for his 10th carry of the contest, Hart reached 1,000 consecutive touches without losing a fumble.
Senior wide receiver Adrian Arrington hauled in his 100th career reception and increased his streak to 25 straight games with at least one catch. He finished the contest with two catches for 13 yards.
Fifth-year senior linebacker Shawn Crable set the Michigan season record for tackles for loss with 27 TFLs in 2007. He had 2.5 TFLs for seven yards against Ohio State and broke the single-season record of 26 held by Mark Messner (1988) and Larry Foote (2001). Crable has marked at least one tackle for loss in each game this season.
The Wolverines honored 16 seniors who played in their last home game. The 2007 senior class: Jamar Adams, Anton Campbell, Shawn Crable, Grant DeBenedictis, Brandent Englemon, Chris Graham, Mike Hart, Chad Henne, Matt Hornaday, Ankit Kachhal, Adam Kraus, Jake Long, Pat Lyall, Max Pollock, Jon Saigh and Ben Wright.
Today's captains were seniors Shawn Crable (fifth year), Mike Hart, Chad Henne, and Jake Long (fifth year).
Fifth-year senior Adam Kraus started his 25th straight game on the offensive line for the Wolverines. The streak dates back to the 2006 season opener against Vanderbilt (Sept. 2).
Junior Zoltan Mesko appeared in his 25th straight game punting for Michigan.
Mesko booted the ball 68 yards downfield in the second quarter, breaking his previous career best of 64 yards (Michigan State, Oct. 7, 2006).
Senior linebacker Chris Graham surpassed 150 career tackles, tallying 10 stops against the Buckeyes. Graham has totaled 153 during his tenure at Michigan.
Junior Terrance Taylor had four tackles vs. Ohio State, eclipsing the 75-stop plateau for his career.
Fifth-year senior Brandent Englemon returned a second-quarter interception 33 yards to post a career long.
Shawn Crable (84), Brandent Englemon (80) and Chris Graham (83) have each collected more than 75 stops in 2007.
Fifth-year senior linebacker Max Pollock made a career-high two tackles.
