Junior/sophomore quarterback David Cone was the only man under center with any college experience at the start of the 2008 season, seeing action against Notre Dame and Minnesota last year. Cone won a state title as a senior at Statesboro High School in Georgia and had a career record of 40-4-1 as a prep signal caller.
