Sophomore/freshman defensive end Ryan Van Bergen has made an impact on the defense in his first season of college football, recording a tackle in four-of-five games this season, including a pair at Notre Dame and two vs. Miami (Ohio). The Whitehall, Mich., native was a National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame Scholar Athlete and a National Honor Society Member at Whitehall Senior High School.
