Postgame Notes: Purdue 48, Michigan 42

• Today's game was the 1,200th in University of Michigan football history. The Wolverines have compiled an 871-293-36 record during their 129 seasons of intercollegiate gridiron action.
• The 90 combined points between the two teams are the most in a single game in series history, surpassing the 73 points attained by both squads in 1982 (52-21 victory by Michigan). The 49 points by Purdue are the most scored against the Wolverines in series history.
• The Wolverines scored a season-high 42 points at Purdue, surpassing the 27 points scored in the Big Ten opening win against Wisconsin (27-25 at Michigan Stadium). The offense picked up a season-best 35 points on three rushing and two receiving touchdowns.
• Junior tailback Brandon Minor surpassed the 100-yard mark for the second straight road game, collecting a career-best 155 yards on 24 carries and scored a career-high three rushing touchdowns.
• Minor scored the game's first points on a 45-yard run on the initial play of U-M's second possession. It was the longest touchdown run of Minor's career.
• Minor added a 12-yard scoring run to tie the game at 35 apiece with 12:19 remaining in the fourth quarter. It was his third straight game with two touchdowns. He has scored at least one touchdown in four straight games.
• Minor crossed the goal line on a one-yard run with 1:20 left in regulation to knot the score at 42 apiece.
• Freshman Martavious Odoms scored his first career touchdown on a 73-yard punt return at 9:56 of the first quarter. It was the first punt return for a touchdown by the Wolverines since Steve Breaston had an 83-yard return at Indiana on Nov. 11, 2006. Odoms had three punt returns for 82 yards, three kickoff returns for 60 yards and added a team-high four receptions for 26 yards.
• Freshman wide receiver Darryl Stonum scored his first career touchdown on a 51-yard pass from Steven Threet at 5:29 of the second quarter. It was the longest passing play of the season for the Wolverines. Stonum also added a 10-yard reception on fourth down to convert a first down in the fourth quarter.
• Senior/junior wide receiver LaTerryal Savoy hauled in his first career touchdown reception on an 11-yard pass from Steven Threet on third-and-goal. It gave U-M a 21-14 lead at 12:28 of the second quarter.
• Redshirt freshman quarterback Steven Threet completed 9-of-20 passes for 123 yards and two touchdowns at Purdue. He also rushed for six yards on seven carries.
• Freshman Boubacar Cissoko set career highs in kickoff returns at Purdue, returning four kicks for 129 yards. He had a 53-yard career long and team season long kick return in the first quarter that led to a touchdown.
• Cissoko also contributed a career-high five tackles from his starting cornerback spot. He also registered his first career tackle for loss and added one pass breakup.
• Senior defensive end Tim Jamison posted a season-high seven tackles against Purdue. He added one tackle for loss and one pass breakup.
• Michigan started in a 3-3-5 formation defensively against the Boilermakers. Freshman Boubacar Cissoko moved into the starting lineup at cornerback and sophomore Donovan Warren moved to free safety.
• Senior linebacker John Thompson forced a fumble that was recovered by Warren. The play led Minor's 45-yard touchdown run on the initial play following the Boilermakers' turnover.
• The fumble recovery by Warren was his first of the season and third of his career. Warren also tied for the team lead with seven tackles.
• Senior/junior Carson Butler saw his first career action at defensive end after playing tight end throughout his career. Butler, who switched positions during the week leading up to the Penn State game, recorded three solo tackles.
• Freshman Justin Feagin made his career debut on special teams against Purdue. He switched from jersey #3 to #30 for the game and played on punt return and kick coverage.
• John Ferrara made his second career start at left guard in the Purdue game.
• Redshirt freshman tight end Steve Watson made his career debut at Purdue, playing on the kick return unit.
• Today's game captains for the Wolverines were cornerback Doug Dutch, kicker K.C. Lopata, tight end Mike Massey and linebacker Austin Panter.
• Tailback Sam McGuffie and safety Mike Williams did not make the trip to Purdue because of injuries sustained in the Michigan State game.
