Lloyd Carr had at least three players selected in each of the 13 NFL drafts as a head coach.
The Wolverines had a first-round draft pick in seven of Carr's 13 seasons, including a school-record-tying three first-round draft picks in 2001. In fact, the Wolverines had three players selected in the first 18 picks of that 2001 draft: wide receiver David Terrell (8th) and offensive lineman Steve Hutchinson (17th) and Jeff Backus (18th).
Michigan had five offensive players picked in the first 43 selections of the 2001 NFL Draft.
Carr had nine first-round draft picks during his head coaching career.
Carr coached 54 NFL draft picks as head coach and 71 overall selections on the U-M staff.
Eighteen of those 54 picks over the past 13 years were selected in the first two rounds and 34 players were chosen in the first four rounds of the draft.
Carr had at least one player picked in 24 of his 28 seasons as a member of the U-M staff (defensive backs from 1980-86, defensive coordinator from 1987-94 and head coach from 1995-2007).
Nearly 100 NFL team representatives attend Michigan's Pro Timing Day every spring.
