ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's swimming and diving team held an intrasquad scrimmage this morning (Saturday, Oct. 3) at Canham Natatorium. The Wolverines divided into Maize and Blue teams to compete in 17 different events.
The Wolverines are coming off a seventh-place showing at the 2009 NCAA Championships and their second consecutive Big Ten Conference title. U-M returns 19 letterwinners from last year's squad while welcoming 16 newcomers for the upcoming season.
The Wolverines hit the road for the first official meet of the season next Friday (Oct. 9), heading to the University of Notre Dame for the Dennis Stark Relays. Action starts at 5 p.m. at the Rolfs Aquatic Center.
