• Michigan takes a 2-0 advantage in the series with Boston College. This was the first meeting between the two teams since an 86-67 Wolverine victory during the 1991-92 season. This was the first time the two teams had met in Chestnut Hill, Mass.
• With tonight's victory the Wolverines move to 2-0 against ACC opponents this season; Michigan defeated Virginia Tech 71-51 in the Big Ten /ACC Challenge (Dec. 3). The Wolverines have an 8-8 all-time record against teams from the ACC.
• Tonight's game marked the sixth in an eight-game road swing for the Wolverines. Michigan has traveled 6,384 miles during the swing and has made stops in Kansas, New Mexico State, Virginia Tech and Iowa during the swing.
• Michigan donned the road Blue jerseys for the third time this season in tonight's contest. Before this season, U-M had only worn the road blue six times in Borseth's career and only twice last season. Michigan moves to 2-1 in the blue uniforms during the current campaign.
• There were plenty of U-M fans in the stands tonight, including signee Val Driscoll. Driscoll is a standout at Archbishop Williams in nearby Braintree, Mass. Val will don the Maize and Blue for the 2010-11 season.
• The Wolverines had five players in double figures for the second time this season. U-M also had five players in double figures against Southern Mississippi.
• Freshman guard Jenny Ryan (Saginaw, Mich./Nouvel Catholic Central) had a career-best five steals and career-high 12 points in the victory.
• Michigan was outrebounded for the second consecutive game and the fifth time this season. Michigan allowed 49 rebounds, the second most by an opponent this season.
• Sophomore guard Courtney Boylan (Chaska, Minn./Chaska) was 5-of-5 from the field and 2-of-2 from long range for her 12 points, a season high in scoring. Prior to tonight's game, Boylan had not made more than two field goals in a single game this season.
• The last time the Wolverines won three road games in a row was during the 2006-07 season when they defeated UNLV, Toledo and Central Michigan.
• The Wolverines shot better than 40 percent and had double-figure assists for the ninth straight game.
