• The Wolverines move to 3-1 all-time against Xavier with tonight's win. Michigan picks up its first win in Cincinnati and moves to 11-9 against opponents from the A-10 Conference.
• Michigan picked up its first road win against a ranked opponent since defeating Louisiana State, 86-81, in overtime during the 2000-01 season. Michigan fell to No. 19 Kansas earlier this season and defeated nationally-ranked Vanderbilt and Notre Dame last season.
• This is the second time in the last two seasons the Wolverines have defeated a top 10 team. Last season, Michigan defeated Notre Dame, which was also ranked No. 8 at the time.
• Senior center Krista Phillips (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan/Aden Bowman Collegiate) is one block away from tying for second place all-time at Michigan in the category. She has 135 career blocks.
• Freshman guard Dayeesha Hollins (Cincinnati, Ohio/Winton Woods) had over 100 friends and family in attendance for tonight's game. Hollins had an outstanding prep career at nearby Winston Woods High School.
• Freshman guard Dayeesha Hollins (Cincinnati, Ohio/Winston Woods) set a new career high with 22 points. Her previous career best was 18 points set against Marquette on Nov. 16. It is the second time this season Michigan has had a player with 20-plus points. Veronica Hicks had 21 points against Kansas.
• Michigan extends its road win streak to four consecutive games. The Wolverines had not won four consecutive road games since the 2001-02 season when they won eight consecutive road games.
• Junior guard Veronica Hicks (Chicago, Ill./Thornwood) ended her double-figure scoring streak with her seven points tonight. She had been in double figures in each of Michigan's last nine games.
• Junior guard Veronica Hicks (Chicago, Ill./Thorwood) posted a new career high in assists with seven in tonight's game.
• Sophomore Carmen Reynolds (Hilliard, Ohio/Davidson) posted her eighth game in double figures and freshman Dayeesha Hollins (Cincinnati, Ohio/Winton Woods) also had her eighth game in double figures and her second consecutive game reaching the mark.
• Senior center Krista Phillips (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan/Aden Bowman Collegiate) posted her fifth consecutive game in double figures with 16 points.
• Michigan shot 48.4 percent from the field for its 10th consecutive game shooting 40 percent or better.
• Head Coach Kevin Borseth, who is notorious for taking off his suit jacket after the national anthem, kept it on for the entire game, marking the first time in his U-M tenure that he has worn his suit jacket for the entire game.
