Senior defenseman Chad Langlais notched the 54th assist of his career tonight, giving him sole possession of 23rd place on Michigan's all-time list for assists by a defenseman. He passed Steve Kampfer (2007-10) and is two assists from cracking the top 20.
Freshmen right wing Luke Moffatt, defenseman Jon Merrill and defenseman Mac Bennett made their career debuts tonight. Merrill and Bennett notched their first career points, each with an assist.
Senior right wing Scooter Vaughan's unassisted goal in the first period was his first tally at Yost Ice Arena and the third of his career.
Matt Rust registered his fifth career shorthanded goal in the second period with an unassisted breakaway effort.
