Series Notes
U-M has won eight straight home games against Ferris State dating back to March 2006. Michigan is 38-10-0 at Yost Ice Arena. Overall, the Wolverines are 62-28-4 against the Bulldogs.
Team Notables
Scooter Vaughan regained a share of the team lead for goals by scoring his fifth goal of the season. David Wohlberg also has five tallies.
Luke Moffatt assisted on Scooter Vaughan's goal for the first point of his career. All six of U-M's rookie skaters have at least one point.
With his third goal of the season, Carl Hagelin moved into a tie for first on the team in points (3-5-8). Louie Caporusso also has eight points on 2-6-8 totals.
Four of U-M's six assists tonight were by defensemen. Michigan's defense corps had two assists last night (Friday, Oct. 29) in Big Rapids and as a whole has four goals and 19 assists in eight games.
Player Notables
With a goal, Scooter Vaughan notched his sixth point (5-1-6) of the season, equaling his single-season best set in 2009-10, when he had a 2-4-6 line.
Jon Merrill posted an assist for the third straight game, tying his career-best point streak, which he set in the first three games of his career from Oct. 2-9. The freshman leads all U-M defensemen in points with 1-6-7 totals.
Chad Langlais cracked the top 20 of U-M's career assist list for defensemen. His 56th career helper tonight creates a tie with Alex Roberts (1987-90).
