• U-M moves to 76-34-3 against Bowling Green all-time. U-M has won four straight games at BGSU Ice Arena to improve its road record to 29-18-3.
Team Notables
• Head coach Red Berenson recorded the 700th victory of his career. He is the sixth coach to reach the milestone. His career record is 700-328-70.
• Michigan tallied two power-play goals on four chances. U-M was 12-2-0 when scoring multiple power-play tallies last season.
• Seven Wolverines have scored U-M's eight goals so far this season. Matt Rust is the lone multi-goal scorer with two.
Player Notables
• Freshman defenseman Jon Merrill has an assist in each of his first two career games.
• Both of Matt Rust's goals this season have come on special teams. He had a shorthanded goal against Mercyhurst and a power-play goal tonight.
• Louie Caporusso posted the 32nd multi-point game of his career with a two assists. Caporusso is the early scoring leader for the season with 1-2-3 totals.
• Carl Hagelin earned his 23rd career multi-point game with a goal and an assist.
