TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Senior/junior Craig Forys (Howell, N.J./Colts Neck HS) of the University of Michigan men's cross country team concluded his season with a 113th-place individual finish at the NCAA Championships on Monday (Nov. 22) at Indiana State's LaVern Gibson Championship Course.
Competing in his third NCAA Championships, Forys registered a time of 31:18.0 -- the fourth-fastest 10,000-meter time of his collegiate career and eight seconds shy of his personal best at the NCAA event, which he registered en route to 137th place at the 2008 NCAA Championships. Forys also previously claimed 96th place at the 2007 event.
Oklahoma State repeated as NCAA team champions with 73 points behind the performances of three top-10 finishers. Liberty's Samuel Chelanga claimed his second straight individual crown, clocking 29:22.3.
