N O T E S
International swimmers (those who cannot represent the United States in international competitions) cannot score points for their respective teams. Michigan's foreign-born athletes participating at the event are Hassaan Abdel Khalik (Canada), Kyle Duckitt (South Africa), Ryutaro Kamiya (Japan) and Jan Konarzewski (Poland).
Five different U-M swimmers achieved NCAA 'B' marks in the 500-yard freestyle.
Michigan competed in the 200-yard freestyle relay for the first time this season, with it's fifth-place 'A' squad of Evan Gregg, Dan Madwed, Neal Kennedy and Roman Willets posting an NCAA consideration time of 1:20.68.
Freshmen Connor Jaeger and Sean Ryan earned the first NCAA consideration time of their careers during the 500-yard freestyle. Ryan touched the wall in 4:25.30 during the preliminaries and Jaeger posted a 4:24.56, also during the prelims.
Senior Tony Wahl swam a career-best 4:27.29 during the preliminary race of the 500-yard freestyle. His 'C' finals pace of 4:27.45 was also faster than his previous best of 4:28.49 set at the Ohio State Winter Invitational on Feb. 12, 2010. Both fit under the NCAA 'B' standard.
U-M alum and Club Wolverine swimmer Bobby Savulich (2006-09) finished ninth in the 50-yard freestyle 'A' final on a time of 19.95.
