Michigan Head Coach Red Berenson
On Luke Glendening's game-tying goal in the third period ... "It was a little bit of puck luck. We had been getting shots on net, but Ohio State's goalie played well. We knew if we kept creating chances one would eventually go in."
On David Wohlberg's game-winning goal ... "You look at his stats over the past 10 games and he has one goal and one assist. After the fast start he got off to this season, he was way overdue to score. He had been snake-bitten quite a few times, but maybe this will get him going again."
On the closing minutes of the game ... "It's amazing how many times we've had last minute, game-tying scenarios between these two teams. Tonight, the last few minutes went our way."
U-M Junior Left Wing David Wohlberg
On his game-winning goal ... "We were working on it all day. We like doing that play. Scooter [Vaughan] has a good shot from there. I lost the draw, but [Louie Caporusso] got a shot on goal and I just kind of got around the net and got lucky."
On needing 37 shots to get the first goal of the night ... "We felt like it was going to come. We knew it wasn't going to be a great goal. It was going to be a front-of-the-net goal, a tip-in, something that bounces in, and that's what happened."
U-M Senior Goalie Bryan Hogan
On seeing shots on an infrequent basis ... "Over my four years here, I'm starting to get used to it. There were so many years where I had to learn to adjust to how we play. A lot of other teams will allow 30, 40 shots a night when it's easier to get into the habit and you're not thinking, you're just reacting. With seeing less shots you're fighting against your mind to stay in the game. That's one of the things that is tough to do here at Michigan."
On his save on Corey Toy with four minutes remaining ... "I think everyone's heads were turned and their guy in the corner got his stick on the puck, threw it out front and there was a guy there, so I had to be there for the save. From last night to tonight we were more fortunate, luckier. We figured it out from last night to tonight. How we played was a big difference. We knew we had to come out hard in the last few seconds after last night's mistake."
