ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's soccer team battled Central Michigan to a 0-0 tie in exhibition action on Friday evening (Aug. 13) at the CMU Soccer Complex.
Junior/sophomore Haley Kopmeyer (Troy, Mich./Lahser) made two saves and freshman Vicky Correa-Parsons (Mississauga, Ontario/St. Martin's Secondary) stopped three shots as they split time in the cage.
Junior/sophomore Clare Stachel (Grand Rapids, Mich./Forest Hills Central) led the Wolverines with three shots, putting two on goal.
The Wolverines will debut the brand new U-M Soccer Stadium on Friday (Aug. 20) with Detroit. The 7 p.m. kickoff will mark the opening of the 2010 regular season.
