Yesterday's practice went pretty well, but as for driving from the airport to the hotel, not so much. I'm pretty sure no one has ever seen a person over 6-5 here so as for transportation and living it can get pretty rough for a guy like me -- to say the least.
After not fitting on the bus and barely getting any sleep, I thought practicing was going to be tough, but it was definitely a successful practice. The gym was a little beat up, but we got some good work in.
As for today, we went to the chocolate museum to see what real Belgium chocolate tastes like, and I can honestly say it was amazing. Usually not a big sweet tooth, but this chocolate was delicious. The chocolate was not the only interesting thing about the trip though. As we were walking, I saw a man who did not speak English wearing a Michigan Wolverines hat. Even though we're 4,000 miles away, Michigan fans still exist!
Afterwards, we went to eat at a little restaurant and it was hard to choose because there are so many. The owners of the restaurants would be out on the streets trying to make us deals that if we ate at their restaurant they would give us any drink we wanted for free. I guess you could say we stick out a little.
Now I'm probably just going to relax and get ready for the game we have tonight at five o'clock here, but 11 o'clock back home. The experience so far has been great and I'm excited for tonight's game to see how it goes.
Check back later to see how things went. Go Blue!
