 | Tom Brady's 11-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Marcus Knight with 1:46 remaining propelled Michigan to a 31-27 upset of sixth-ranked Penn State in Beaver Stadium. Brady was 17-of-36 passing for 256 yards and two touchdowns, pushing him over the 2,000-yard mark on the season. At the time, Brady was only the second U-M quarterback to throw for 2,000 yards in back-to-back seasons, joining Todd Collins (1993-94). The win brought the Wolverines' record to 8-2 on the season with The Game against Ohio State looming the next week. |

 | Tom Brady threw for two touchdowns in the final 16 minutes of the game to rally the Wolverines from a seven-point deficit to defeat archrival Ohio State, 24-17, on senior day at Michigan Stadium. Brady tied the game 17-17 with an eight-yard strike to tight end Shawn Thompson in the closing seconds of the third quarter, then put Michigan ahead for good on a 10-yard touchdown pass to Marquise Walker with 5:01 remaining. Brady finished the day 17-of-27 passing for 150 yards and two touchdowns. |

 | Tom Brady connected with tight end Shawn Thompson on a 25-yard touchdown on the first play of overtime to give Michigan a 35-34 victory over Alabama in the Orange Bowl in Michigan's first-ever overtime contest. Brady played perhaps his best game as a Wolverine, completing 34-of-46 passing attempts for 369 yards and four touchdown passes, erasing a two-touchdown Alabama lead and sending the game into overtime. Alabama had a chance to force a second overtime when it scored on its offensive possession in extra time, but a missed PAT sent Brady out a winner. |
Michigan head coach Lloyd Carr on Brady's leadership ... "I'll tell you this story. When we went into Syracuse to play, in the second half, I decided to go with Drew Henson. Late in the game we won. After the game, the captains said a few words and led the team in 'Hail to the Victors.' There was no tougher time for Tom to not have played. He stood up and told his teammates how great they played without him. He's a special guy."
