Series Notes
• The Wolverines are 22-3-1 (.865) against Alaska at Yost Ice Arena and 41-9-1 overall (.814).
Team Notables
• Michigan has won five straight games, a season-best, and nine out of its last 10 dating back to Dec. 4. U-M has outscored opponents 39-18 in that stretch.
• Michigan remains unbeaten on Saturdays this season at 11-0-2.
• The Wolverine defensemen registered four more points tonight and have tallied 20 goals and 52 assists for 72 points so far this season.
• U-M did not allow a power-play goal for the third consecutive game. UAF was 0-for-4 with the man-advantage tonight and 0-for-8 in the series.

Player Notables
• With a goal tonight, Jon Merrill has scored in back-to-back games for the first time in his career.

• Matt Rust's goal ended his scoring drought that had spanned 15 games, dating back to Nov. 13 vs. Notre Dame. He is currently on a four-game point streak, registering 1-3-4 totals.
• Scooter Vaughan's goal was his first game-winning tally of his career. He is the 10th Wolverine to register a game-winning goal this season.
• Ben Winnett's assist gives him 10 points (3-7-10) for the season. He is the 14th Wolverine to reach the 10-point plateau this season.
• Shawn Hunwick was named the No. 1 star of the game for the second straight night. He registered 37 saves on route to his 10th win of the season.
