Michigan State Series Notes
Tonight's loss ended U-M's four-game winning streak over MSU.
Carl Hagelin notched his 16th and 17th career points against MSU. He has 9-8-17 totals. The senior co-captain's nine goals lead all active Wolverines.
Michigan had shut out the Spartans for 125:04 before they scored 5:03 into the second period tonight. U-M did not allow an MSU goal in the last two period of the March 13, 2010, before posting a shutout in The Big Chill at the Big House on Dec. 11.
Team Notes
Michigan's season-best four-game winning streak came to an end.
For the second time this season David Wohlberg tied a game in the final minute of regulation to send the game into overtime. He also scored at exactly 19:47 on Oct. 29 at Ferris State.
Individual Notes
Carl Hagelin extended his point streak to four games (3-6-9) with a goal and an assist tonight. He has five multi-point games this season.
Hagelin scored his team-leading fourth power-play goal and 10th goal overall. His 25 points and 15 assists also lead the Maize and Blue.
David Wohlberg tied his career-best point streak at five games (3-3-6). He scored late in the third period to force overtime.
Luke Glendening has a point in three straight games (3-1-4).
