MGoBlue.com caught up with junior defenseman Lee Moffie (Wallingford, Conn.) on Wednesday (Nov. 23) for the season's second installment of "Ask a Wolverine," a weekly feature that allows fans to submit questions via the Michigan Ice Hockey Facebook page.
Take a look to see what Lee had to say:
From Becca Pattison: Why do you wear #13?
Moffie: In high school I was the last person to be able to pick my number and 13 was the last number available, so I had to take it. Ever since then I've always chosen it. People say it's unlucky, but I kind of take it as a challenge and I like to wear it.
From Michaela Cotton: What kind of stick do you use?
Moffie: Bauer Total 1. I'm a lefty so I use a Sakic. 100 flex. I used it last year and I liked it, so that's what I go with.
From Maire Daly: What is your favorite NHL team/player?
Moffie: I don't have a favorite NHL team, but I obviously like watching hockey. And I love watching Nik Lidstrom play. I wouldn't say he's my favorite player, but I really enjoy watching him play.
From Drew Samson: What was your journey to college hockey?
Moffie: I played Connecticut high school hockey for one year and then I went to prep school at Avon Old Farms (in Avon, Conn.) for three years. Then I played one year in the USHL with the Waterloo Blackhawks.
From Ratrick Waterman: What does it mean to you to play at Michigan?
Moffie: I take a lot of pride in putting on the Michigan jersey. It's one of the best college hockey programs in the country and I'm just very happy and proud to play here.
From Austin Hovermale: Did you always want to go to Michigan?
Moffie: I have always wanted to go to Michigan. I remember when I was playing video games when I was younger, playing college football, I would always be Michigan. For some reason I've always been attracted to the school.
