OXFORD, Ohio -- Divers from the top-ranked University of Michigan men's swimming and diving team were in action at the Miami Invitational this weekend (Thu-Sat., Dec. 1-3) at Corwin M. Nixon Natatorium. Sophomore Thomas Jahnke (Ann Arbor, Mich./Huron) led the Wolverines on day three with a second-place finish of 406.35.

Sophomore Jack Lee (North Egremont, Mass./Berkshire School) took fourth on day three with a 303.95, while senior Chris Morrison (Fenton, Mich./Fenton) placed sixth with a 292.45.

Day one and day two featured the Chinese National diving team, as Choa He won the one-meter competition on Friday with a 445.20. The Wolverines took fifth through eighth, as Morrison placed fifth with a 301.30. Sophomore James Ross (Richmond, Va./Collegiate)
followed in sixth with a 298.60, while Lee took seventh with a 297.15. Jahnke closed out the Michigan performance with a 288.20 to take eighth.

Day two featured China's Jun Wu, who blew away competition with a 523.00 in the platform competition. U-M took fourth through seventh in the event, as Lee scored a 289.05, followed by Ross (287.00), Jahnke (265.10) and Morrison (240.75).

The U-M divers return to competition following an extended break on Saturday (Jan. 3) at the Orange Bowl Classic in Key Largo, Fla.
