Team Notes
The Wolverines have won 13 consecutive games at Yost Ice Arena and 14 straight in Ann Arbor, the longest single-season home winning streak since 1961-62 when U-M won 16 straight. Michigan finishes the season 16-2-1 at home.
Michigan extended its overall winning streak to eight games, the longest since a 10-game spree in 2007-08.
Lee Moffie's first of two goals tonight was the team's eighth shorthanded goal of the season, the most since 2007-08. It was the first shorthanded goal scored by a defenseman since Chris Summer tallied one on Dec. 5, 2008, against Michigan State.
A Michigan defenseman has scored in 19-of-38 games this season. The group has 25 goals and 73 assists for 98 points this season. Tonight, U-M blueliners registered a 2-4-6 line.
U-M has scored the first goal in seven of the last eight games and is 20-1-3 when doing so this season.
The Wolverines scored two power-play goals tonight on seven attempts.
Individual Notes
Chad Langlais set a school record for consecutive games played with 167. The senior defenseman has never missed a game in his career. The previous record was 166, set by Tim Miller and Travis Turnbull, who played every game of their careers from 2005-06 through 2008-09.
With an assist tonight, Chad Langlais tied Greg Fox and Eric Werner (66 assists) for 12th on U-M's career assists list by a defenseman. Langlais' 79 career points match Greg Natale's output for 18th place on the U-M defenseman career points list.
With a goal and an assist, Lindsay Sparks registered the third multi-point game of his career.
Lee Moffie registered his first career multi-goal game with two goals. He also set a career high with three points.
Bryan Hogan played 12:14 in the third period, tallying six saves.
Adam Janecyk made his career debut, playing the final 1:32 of the game and recording one save.
