Michigan Head Coach Red Berenson
On tonight's game ... "Well, I'm glad the game is over. I'm glad the series is over. I'm glad our seniors don't have to play another game here. I don't think we scored on our best chances but we played hard. We carried the play and we thought it would be a close game going in and one goal might hold up and it did for half the game. It was a huge goal. And then we finally got a second goal and it was a huge goal."
On the second goal of the game ... "We talked before the game that the first goal might be the game-winning goal so you have to be able to play in a game like that. Maybe we'll get another one and maybe we won't. I think our team played with that defensive attitude. We got some good chances and their goalie was good."
U-M Senior Forward Carl Hagelin
On the scoring depth ... "You need that. Obviously when guys go down all the guys have to step up. Today [Lee] Moffie stepped up with a great game, great performance, two goals, and one assist. [Lindsay] Sparks had a really good game as well and so did [A.J.] Treais. That is what you need and those guys are ready to play. They're obviously very skilled guys and they showed up today."
On the power play ... "I think we're moving the puck well. Our unit did a good job moving the puck. We didn't score today but Treais' line obviously did a great job. They weren't out there that much but they scored early on. I think Bowling Green is pretty tough on the [penalty kill]. They are aggressive so you have to move the puck quickly. Today we got some good bounces. So it's a great feeling to get two goals."
U-M Senior Forward Matt Rust
On tonight's game ... "Playoffs are pretty tricky. You never know what you're going to get. Bowling Green, who didn't really show a whole lot during the season, came out and played two really hard games. They're tough on faceoffs, and coming from a guy like who takes pride in faceoffs, they do a lot of little things right. Luckily we got the bounces tonight. Hopefully we can ride this streak of momentum."
U-M Sophomore Defenseman Lee Moffie
On sweeping Bowling Green ... "We are a confident team. We came in this weekend wanting two wins and we came here and got those two wins. We were confident in that happening."
