CCHA Championship Notes
Michigan falls to 15-7 in CCHA semifinal games and will play in the third-place game for the first time since the 2005-06 season. The matchup with Notre Dame will be the first in the third-place game.
The Wolverines are 2-0 all-time in the third-place game, defeating Northern Michigan in 2006 and Bowing Green in 1990.
Western Michigan Notes
U-M is 67-27-10 all-time against WMU and 8-3 in the CCHA Tournament.
The loss tonight ends Michigan's seven-game winning streak over WMU.
Team Notes
The Wolverines' eight game winning streak came to an end tonight. U-M had not lost since Feb. 5, 3-0 at Miami.
Streaks and Peaks
With an assist tonight, A.J. Treais extended his point streak to three games, accumulating 1-4-5 during the spree.
Lindsey Sparks has set a career-high three-game goal and point streak, tallying a goal tonight.
Individual Notes
With an assist tonight, Chad Langlais (67 assists) is 12th on U-M's career assists list by a defenseman. Langlais' 80 career points put him tied for 17th with Alex Roberts on U-M defenseman career points list.
