CCHA Championship Notes
Today's meeting with Notre Dame was the 12th all-time in the CCHA Tournament, with the Wolverines holding a 7-5 edge over the Fighting Irish.
The Wolverines are 3-0 all-time in the third-place game.
Louie Caporusso has tallied 22 points (10-12-22) in 16 career CCHA Tournament games, while Carl Hagelin has 8-10-18 in 18 games.
Notre Dame Notes
Michigan leads the all-time series against Notre Dame at 71-48-5.
In 13 career games against Notre Dame, Carl Hagelin has a 5-5-10 line, while Matt Rust has a 5-4-9 line.
Coach Berenson is 48-15-3 against the Irish and 9-9-0 versus Jeff Jackson since he took over the Irish coaching duties.
Team Notes
The Wolverines scored at 16:07 and 16:22 of the first period to tie a season best for fastest back-to-back goals (15 seconds) for the third time. It was the fifth time back-to-back goals were scored in less than a minute this season.
Michigan has notched a power-play goal in five straight games (6-for-24).
Michigan's penalty killers were 2-for-2 against the Irish power play tonight, giving U-M 18 perfect PK games this season.
Michigan's senior class finished their careers with a 16-4 record at Joe Louis Arena.

With a goal and an assist tonight, Louie Caporusso has tallied 13 goals and seven assists in 20 career games at Joe Louis Arena. Carl Hagelin has a 2-15-17 line in 18 games at 'The Joe,' registering an assist tonight.
Player Notes
Jeff Rohrkemper scored his second goal of the season and third of his career. Both goals scored this season were tallied at Joe Louis Arena, and two of his three career goals have been scored in the CCHA Tournament. Tonight's tally was his first career game-winner.
With 42 saves tonight, Shawn Hunwick set a career high for saves in regulation. His career high is 45, which occurred on Oct. 16 in a 3-3 tie at New Hampshire. Against UNH, he had 37 saves in regulation and eight in overtime. He is 6-2-2 in his career when recording 30 or more saves in a game.
For the second season in a row, Matt Rust reached the 20-assist plateau. He had one assist tonight and is second on the team with 20 helpers.
Louie Caporusso notched his 10th multi-point game of the season with one goal and one assist.
