PALO ALTO, Calif. -- Three distance runners from the University of Michigan men's track and field team were in action late Friday night (March 25) at the Stanford Invitational, held at Cobb Track and Angell Field.
Junior Craig Forys (Howell, N.J./Colts Neck) finished 14th in the fast heat (section one) of the 5,000-meter run, crossing the finish line at 13:59.53. In addition, freshman Morsi Rayyan (Dewitt, Mich./St. Johns) competed in his first collegiate track meet, taking ninth in section three (14:20.51).
Redshirt sophomore Bobby Aprill (Dexter, Mich./Dexter) finished in 27th place (29:53.57) in the 10,000-meter run, the last race of the evening. Aprill redshirted the indoor season, meaning this race was his first of the season.
The rest of the Wolverines continue competition at the FSU Relays on Saturday (March 26) in Tallahassee, Fla. Competition begins at noon.
