BLACKSBURG, Va. -- Senior Robert Peddlar (Kingston, Jamaica/Wolmer's Boys) and redshirt freshman Bradley James (East Lansing, Mich./Haslett) represented the University of Michigan men's track and field team at the Virginia Tech Final Qualifier on Saturday (March 5), held inside the Rector Field House.
This weekend served as the final competition for NCAA student-athletes who have not automatically qualified for the NCAA Indoor Championships to improve their marks. Peddlar competed in the long jump but fouled on all three of his triple jump attempts. He finished fourth in the long jump (24-4 1/2 ft./7.43m), while James finished tied for fifth in the high jump (6-10 3/4 ft./2.10m).
The Wolverines now await the official selections for the NCAA Indoor Championships, held from March 11-12 in College Station, Texas. The official heat sheet will be released next week.
