N O T E S

• Freshman Cody Riffle won the discus with a top toss of 54.52m (178-10 ft.). He also took 11th place in the shot put (16.57m/54-4 1/2 ft.).

• Freshman Ali Arastu finished eighth in the 400-meter hurdles to begin the day, crossing the finish line at 51.98. Senior Carl Buchanon finished 25th (53.52) in just his second outdoor meet of the season.

• Redshirt freshman Bradley James tied for ninth place in the high jump (2.04m/6-8 1/4 ft.).

• Sophomore Jack Greenlee tied for fourth place in the pole vault (4.80m/15-9 ft.). Austin DeWildt did not compete in the pole vault.

• In a rare event, Michigan fielded a team in the 4x120-yard shuttle hurdles relay, featuring Nick McCampbell, Erick Gavin, Frank Shotwell and Herman Washington. The quartet took third (57.75).

• McCampbell also ran in the preliminaries of the 110-meter hurdles, finishing 25th (14.76).

• The 4x400-meter relay team of Nick Neuman, David St. Amant, Ali Arastu and Matthew Campbell finished 15th in the preliminaries (3:12.75).

• Robert Peddlar finished 18th in the long jump (6.99m/22-11 1/4 ft.)

• The distance medley relay team of Brendon Blacklaws, Aaron Taylor, Nick Thomas and Dallas Bowden took third (9:53.64).

• Michigan did not have a team run the 4x100-meter relay.

• Michigan will compete in the triple jump, hammer throw, and the 4xMile relay. There is also a chance the 4x400-meter relay team will have a fast enough time to qualify for the finals.
