CBS, ESPN to Carry 11 Michigan Big Ten Games

PARK RIDGE, Ill. -- In conjunction with the Big Ten Conference, the University of Michigan men's basketball team announced today (Tuesday, Sept. 6), 11 of its 18 league games will be broadcast nationally on either CBS or ESPN.
Overall, U-M will appear four times on CBS during the Big Ten regular season. The Wolverines have the opportunity to increase their CBS total to six if they are selected as one of the CBS/ESPN wildcard games near the latter stages of the conference slate. Since 1991-92, the Wolverines have made 94 total appearances on CBS.
Michigan's CBS lineup includes hosting Wisconsin on Sunday, Jan. 18, at Crisler Arena followed by road games at Ohio State on Sunday, Jan. 29, and at Michigan State on Sunday, Feb. 5. The final confirmed CBS game will be against Illinois on Sunday, Feb. 12. U-M could include an additional two CBS games if chosen as part of the conference's wildcard selections. The Wolverines' wildcard games include Purdue on Saturday or Sunday, Feb. 25 or 26, as well as U-M's regular-season finale at Penn State on Sunday, March 4.
The Wolverines appear twice on ESPN's Super Tuesday slate of games with contests against Michigan State on Jan. 17 and at Purdue on Feb. 24. U-M will also be featured two times on ESPN's Thursday night primetime schedule with road games at Indiana on Jan. 5 and at Illinois on March 1. U-M makes its fifth ESPN appearance when ESPN's College GameDay comes to Ann Arbor for the first time as the Wolverines host Ohio State on Saturday, Feb. 18, at Crisler Arena.
Overall, the Big Ten has 44 total conference games on CBS or part of the ESPN network. The remainder of the conference schedule will be released on Wednesday (Sept. 7).
