For the third consecutive game, Michigan used the starting lineup of Brenae Harris, Jenny Ryan, Kate Thompson, Nicole Elmblad and Rachel Sheffer.
Utah and Michigan are now tied at 1-1 in the all-time series. This was Michigan's first game in the state of Utah.
U-M wore its blue uniforms for the second consecutive road game.
Michigan is now 1-1 on the road this season.
The Wolverines out-rebounded the Utes, 32-31. It is the first time this season that U-M had more rebounds than its opponent.
With a three-pointer by Kate Thompson in the first half, Michigan has now hit a three-pointer in 193 consecutive games.
Nicole Elmblad grabbed a career-best eight rebounds. Her previous high was seven against Florida Atlantic on Nov. 14, 2011.
Rachel Sheffer recorded her third double-figuring scoring game of the season and the 44th of her career. She is the only Wolverine to reach double-digits in all three games.
Aquashia Anderson made her Michigan debut, grabbing a rebound in nine minutes.
