• Michigan is 7-2-0 all-time against Detroit. The two teams last met on Aug. 20, 2010, with Michigan winning the match, 3-1, in what was the first match played at the newly renovated U-M Soccer Stadium.
• Michigan won four home matches all of last season, going 4-5-1.
• Eight different players have scored a goal for the Wolverines this season. The team has nine total goals in four matches.
• Michigan has not started a season with four straight wins since 2002 when it started 5-0.
• Michigan improves to 16-3-2 in home non-conference matches under Greg Ryan.
• Fifth-year senior Clare Stachel started after missing the first three games due to injury.
• Freshman Cassie Collins earned her first collegiate start at midfield.
• Junior Tori McCombs came off the bench for the first time in her collegiate career. She previously started the last 40 matches dating back to her freshman season of 2010.
• At the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in Japan, Mexico (which has U-M sophomore Christina Murillo on its roster) defeated New Zealand, 4-0, to advance to the quarterfinals. Murillo started all three matches on defense for Mexico in group play. Mexico will face Nigeria on Thursday (Aug. 30) at 4 p.m. in Tokyo. Canada, which features U-M juniors Shelina Zadorsky and Nkem Ezurike, will play Korea DPR in the Group C finale on Monday (Aug. 27) at 7 p.m.
