Michigan has now scored nine goals in the last 26 power-play attempts.
Goalie Luke Dwyer made his first road trip and was suited up on the bench.
Not only did U-M shut out the Buckeyes in six attempts on the power play, Andrew Copp and Travis Lynch both had short-handed breakaway opportunities but could not score.
The 5-3 win over OSU is the second outright win on the road for U-M this season. The came against Lake Superior State on Jan. 19. Michigan's win against MSU was at Joe Louis Arena -- a neutral site.
