• The last time U-M played a No. 1-ranked opponent on the road in regular-season action was Nov. 19, 2010, as the Wolverines were downed by Akron, 7-1. The Irish are ranked No. 1 by Soccer America and No. 2 on the NSCAA list.

• U-M started a season-high four freshmen in the starting XI in Rylee Woods, Lars Eckenrode, Brett Nason and Andre Morris.

• Michigan has yet to beat Notre Dame in South Bend (0-8-1)

• Three of the last four matches vs. the Irish have gone to overtime.

• Senior Dylan Mencia made his season debut for the Wolverines after missing the first four matches of the season.
