ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan athletic department and adidas announced today (Monday, Dec. 22) the men's basketball team will wear an adidas throwback uniform honoring the 1989 U-M national championship team against Minnesota on Saturday, Jan. 10.
A modern take on the Wolverines' 1989 NCAA Championship uniform, the throwback uniform celebrates the rich tradition of Michigan Basketball. Blending the best of past and present, the uniform features the same lightweight Revolution 30 technology used in the NBA while evoking a retro feel with the throwback letter and numbering used in the 1989 jersey.
The Michigan throwback jersey is commemorated with a special callout on the inside collar and the iconic block 'M' logo is showcased on the jersey front and side of the shorts.

The Wolverines will be the first of five adidas sponsored programs to wear a throwback jersey in honor of a national champion team. Additional schools taking part in the campaign will include Indiana, Kansas, Louisville and UCLA.
Michigan's throwback jersey and shorts are available at all M Den locations, including Crisler Center, as well as through online ordering.
