Michigan Releases 2015 Schedule

2014-15 Men's Track & Field Schedule
ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's track and field team announced today (Sept. 9) its schedule for the 2015 season. The upcoming campaign will begin with the Doug Raymond Invitational (Jan. 10) in Kent, Ohio, before the Maize and Blue play host for the Simmons-Harvey Invitational (Jan. 17) at the U-M indoor track building.
The Wolverines will then travel to Bloomington, Ind., for the Gladstein Invitational (Jan. 23-24) before returning to the state of Michigan for a dual meet with Michigan State (Jan. 31), their second in the last few seasons, held at the Grand Valley State Kelly Family Sports Center in Allendale, Mich.
Next, U-M will compete in the Notre Dame Meyo Invitational (Feb. 6-7) in South Bend, Ind. and the Tyson Invitational (Feb. 13-14) in Fayetteville, Ark., where the team will get a sneak peek of the NCAA Indoor Championships facilities.
Following a road trip for the UW Husky Classic (Feb. 13-14) in Seattle, Wash., the team returns to Ann Arbor to host the Silverston Invitational (Feb. 21) at the U-M indoor track building. That weekend will feature a split squad, as the Wolverines will also send competitors to the Wilson Invitational in South Bend, Ind., on the same day.
The Big Ten Indoor Championships will begin the following weekend (Feb. 27-28) in Geneva, Ohio, before the team heads back to Fayetteville, Ark., for the NCAA Indoor Championships (March 13-14), marking the 12th time the Razorbacks have hosted the event since 2000.
The outdoor season gets underway two weeks later, beginning with the Big Ten/Pac-12 Challenge (March 27-28) in Tempe, Ariz. U-M remains out west for the Stanford Invitational (April 3) and then will compete in the third annual tri-meet against California and Virginia (April 4), hosted by the University of California-Berkley. This meet will feature three of the top academic and athletic institutions in the country, and 2015 will mark the third consecutive running of the event.
The Maize and Blue will then have split squads again for the weekend of April 23-25, as the team will compete at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, Pa., the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa, and the Gina Relays in Hillsdale, Mich.
Following a trip out west for the Adidas/Steve Scott Invitational (May 1-2) in Irvine, Calif., and the Jordan Invitational (May 3) in Stanford, Calif., the Wolverines will wrap up the regular season with the IU Billy Hayes Invitational (May 9) in Bloomington, Ind.
The outdoor postseason begins May 15-17 in East Lansing, Mich., for the Big Ten Outdoor Championships. The NCAA East Regional (May 28-30) will be held in Jacksonville, Fla., while the NCAA Outdoor Championships (June 10-13) will be held at historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.
