
Faces of the Big Ten - Adam Coon

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Junior Adam Coon of the University of Michigan wrestling team is among the featured student-athletes in the second round of new 2015-16 "Faces of the Big Ten" PSA videos airing on the Big Ten Network.
Coon, a native of Fowlerville, Michigan, was the NCAA runner-up at heavyweight last season, leading the Wolverines for the second straight year with a 32-5 record en route to his first All-America honor. He is 5-0 already this season and ranked No. 3 nationally.
Coon has also excelled internationally, winning double bronze medals in freestyle and Greco-Roman at the 2014 Junior World Championships and capturing a Cadet world title in 2011 between sophomore and junior years in high school. He is currently training Greco-Roman for the 2016 Olympic Trials. He qualified with a win at the Bill Farrell International in November and will compete at the U.S. Open this weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Off the mat, Coon is Academic All-Big Ten and two-time NWCA All-Academic selection as an aerospace engineering major.
