Michigan Head Coach Red Berenson
On Steve Racine's effort in net ... "I thought he made some good saves in the game. I don't know about the scramble goals, whether he could have prevented them. They're a dangerous team and they had the lead after one, the lead after two and we couldn't quite catch up. It was that kind of game. That doesn't play to our strength."
On the team's struggles on the power play ... "That's another part of the game. You get you're best players on the ice and they have their chance to get you back in the game, and they couldn't do it. On the power play I thought we were a little bit out of sorts without Andrew Copp. He's a key player in our one unit. The other unit, there's no excuse. We didn't get the chances we should. They did a good job on their PK, and we weren't good enough on the PP."
On what needs to change the most before Sunday's game ... "We've got to start all over again. We've got to pay attention to defense. Ohio State is a very opportunistic team. They've got some quick forwards. (Matt) Johnson is not a surprise that he scores goals. He had 10 going into the weekend. So he gets a couple and don't be surprised. They have more players than just (Anthony) Greco. They've got some players that can skate, and they're opportunistic. We've got to play better in our zone or we're going to get the same result."
U-M Senior Forward Zach Hyman
On the difference in tonight's game ... "Defense. They scored four 5-on-5 goals. If you can't play defense you're not going to win games. We're not going to be able to score six goals every game."
On Ohio State's offense ... "I feel like they were same as they were before. They had a lot of guys injured the last time we played them. They had their guys back, but there's no excuse."
