
Ryan Drafted in Fourth Round by Green Bay Packers

CHICAGO -- Former University of Michigan football linebacker Jake Ryan was selected by the Green Bay Packers on the final day of the NFL Draft on Saturday (May 2) at the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University. Ryan was drafted by the Packers in the fourth round with the 129th overall choice.
Ryan, an All-Big Ten first-team selection by the coaches and media during his senior campaign, led Michigan with 112 tackles, including 14 for loss with two sacks, two forced fumbles and five quarterback hurries in 2014. The Butkus Award finalist also grabbed one interception and registered three pass breakups.
A two-time team captain, Ryan finished his collegiate career with 267 tackles, 45.5 for loss with 9.5 sacks, seven forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, seven pass breakups and one interception. His forced fumbles total is tied for second on Michigan's all-time list, and his tackles-for-loss total is sixth in school history.
Since the inaugural NFL Draft in 1938, a total of 348 Michigan players have been selected.
