2015 U-M Field Hockey Schedule
ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan field hockey program announced its 2015 schedule today (Wednesday, June 10), featuring a challenging 18-game regular-season slate, including 10 home games at Phyllis Ocker Field. The Wolverines will also host the 2015 NCAA Championship, featuring semifinal and title games, on Friday and Sunday, Nov. 20-22.
Michigan will face seven teams coming off an NCAA Tournament bid a year ago, including perennial powers North Carolina and Wake Forest at the season-opening ACC/Big Ten Challenge (Aug. 29-30) at Ocker Field. The Wolverines will host the annual kickoff for the fourth time in the event's history and first time since 2011.
The Wolverines will also host four Big Ten Conference matches at Ocker Field, opening league play against Penn State on Friday, Sept. 18, before welcoming Indiana (Oct. 4), Iowa (Oct. 9) and, in their regular-season finale, rival Ohio State on Saturday, Oct. 31.
Michigan will host the NCAA Field Hockey Championship for the first time in program history. The Wolverines have previously served as a regional host for the NCAA first and second rounds on three occasions (2001, '04, '07). It will be the 16th NCAA Championship that Michigan has hosted on campus since 1932 -- covering eight different sports -- and the fourth since 2005, joining water polo (2005, '11) and men's gymnastics (2014).
The Wolverines captured the NCAA title in 2001 -- the first national championship for a women's program at Michigan.
Ticket Information: Admission at Ocker Field is free for all regular-season home games. NCAA Tournament tickets will go on sale in August. Details will be announced soon.
Summer Camps: The Michigan Field Hockey Camps will host two overnight camps from June 21-24 and June 28-July 27 as well as a commuter camp from June 25-27. All camps will be held at Ocker Field. For more information or to register online, visit MGoBlue.com/camps.
