
Team, 12 Individuals Receive CSCAA Scholar All-America Honors

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Twelve members of the 2014-15 University of Michigan men's swimming and diving team received Scholar All-America or Scholar All-America Honorable Mention honors on Wednesday (July 1) from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America.
The Scholar All-Americans include recent graduates Justin Glanda and Bruno Ortiz, as well as returning swimmers Anders Nielsen, Jack Mangan and PJ Ransford. The Scholar All-America Honorable Mentions include Thomas Jahnke (2011-15), Aaron Ghiglieri, Cameron Stitt, Ian Rainey, Matt McNamara, Paul Corbae and Will Raynor.
To be selected to the CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, swimmers and divers must have achieved a grade-point average of 3.50 or higher and have participated in their respective NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. Honorable Mention selections have similarly achieved a GPA of 3.50 and achieved a "B" time standard or competed at their respective qualifying meets.
In addition, both the men's and women's teams were given Scholar All-America Team honors for both the fall and spring semesters. To earn the honor, each program must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher for the semester.
