She capped her playing career being named Gatorade Indiana Girls Soccer Player of the Year and Brebeuf Jesuit Offensive MVP her senior year (2014).
Martin was also tabbed a NSCAA All-American following her senior season (2014), in addition to earning first team all-state and first team all-district honors as a sophomore (2012) and senior (2014). She also received All-Academic accolades as a junior (2013) and senior (2014).
Throughout her club career, she won three Illinois State club championships -- two with Carmel United Soccer Club (2011-12) and one with Indiana Premier Soccer Club (2013), and was most recently a member of Eclipse Select (2013-15).
Martin has participated in several national team camps, including the U-20 U.S. Women's National Team Camp in October 2014. She also participated on numerous OPD teams, playing for the state and regional teams from 2010-12. In 2014, she was invited to the ECNL ID2 Nike Camp in Portland, Oregon.
Martin lettered all four years, but missed the majority of her freshman season due to a torn ACL. In addition to her success on the field, she was also a four-year High Honor Roll student.
ACCORING TO COACH RYAN:
"Reilly is a very skillful and creative player in the final third. She creates a lot of goals for herself and for her teammates. Riley will play a key role in our attack this fall. She is already finding ways to 'hit the net' this preseason."

On why she chose the University of Michigan ... "The recruiting process for me started pretty early so at first I really didn't know where I wanted to go at all, but my first visit to Michigan I fell in love with the school. Having Greg Ryan as your coach and the opportunity to be coached by him is something I couldn't turn down. Having a great academic school, as well as a great group of girls on the team -- I just felt like I was at home so I knew this was the place for me."
On how her Michigan experience has been so far ... "It's been amazing. It's honestly been the best opportunity that I have ever had -- coming together and getting to know all the girls it's honestly been one of the best weeks I've ever had."
On her first game experience was ..."Game day (Wednesday, Aug. 12) was unbelievable. Just the hype of playing Ohio State and the pregame and walking out onto the field -- it was awesome. I told Abby (Kastroll) last night that I kind of got tears in my eyes walking out onto the field and being able to say that I played for Michigan. The fact that I was out there playing for Michigan was awesome."
On how your teammates and coaches have helped you become acclimated to college ... "Having all the support around me with the transition has been so awesome. Coming into a new environment I didn't really know what to expect and just having the team to answer questions and show all the freshmen around is helpful. The returners are always so good about including everyone and doing team building stuff; we've really come together as a team."
On her strengths on the field ... "I've been playing soccer for a while and I've always been a striker and a finisher -- I love to score goals so I would say that's my main asset that I would like to bring to the team. I've always been a team player; I like to play for the team, I like to play for my school and every game bring 100 percent."
On an interesting fact about her that no one knows ... "Something about me that people might not expect is that in my free time I love to go fishing; I'm an outdoorsy-type person. I went to Cabo last spring break and went deep sea fishing and caught a six-foot fish, which was pretty cool."
