
Michigan Tabs Angelos as Volunteer Assistant Coach

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan head volleyball coach Mark Rosen announced the hiring of former Bradley University standout Amy Angelos as a the Wolverines' volunteer assistant coach, it was announced Tuesday (March 22).
Angelos comes to Ann Arbor by way of William Woods University if Fulton, Missouri, where she was an assistant coach since August of 2014, focusing on all aspects of the coaching spectrum, including training, operations, budgeting, recruiting and academic oversight.
While in Missouri, Angelos also coached with the H2 Volleyball Club and at North Callaway High School. In addition to her coaching experience, Angelos brings a wealth of instructional knowledge to the Wolverine program, as she provided instruction at All American Camps, Eastside Volleyball, Wisconsin Juniors Volleyball Club and in individual volleyball lessons with local players.
A 2014 graduate of Bradley University, Angelos captained the Braves' women's volleyball team as a junior and senior. As a middle blocker, she also earned All Missouri Valley Conference honors and conference academic honors.
"I'm incredibly thankful to Coach Rosen for giving me the opportunity to be a part of the University of Michigan volleyball program," said Angelos. "Getting to compete in the Big Ten Conference and learn from this incredible staff will be a phenomenal experience."
U-M opened its 2016 spring schedule this past Saturday (March 19) in Grand Rapids, Michigan. at Aquinas College. In the first date of spring competition, the Wolverines defeated Western Michigan and Oakland in two closed matches before handing Michigan State a three-set loss in an open match.
