Juniors Jess Angerman, Tess Korten, Margaret Metzger and Anna Schueler, who were named the first captains in program history, will alternate blogging each week to keep fans up to date on Team Three. In this edition, Margaret gives some insight on what members of the junior class are planning to do after graduation, which is just a year away for the class that started the program from scratch in 2014.
Hi Michigan Fans!
A wise man once said, "Today is the first day of the rest of your life." Another wise man decided to hang that quote in the bathroom at a rest stop in Indiana. Call it fate -- it probably wasn't -- but as we filed into this rest stop halfway through our bus trip to Northwestern, those words hit home for the junior class. After the conversation we had this week with our academic advisor, Angie, about applying for graduation, the juniors of Team Three weren't sure if this quote was inspiring or frightening.
With only two semesters left at Michigan, it's time to start thinking about the rest of our lives. Here's where you'll hopefully find us after we hang up the cleats:
Sophie duPhily dreams of working for the Olympics. Lauren Pryor would love to go into sports marketing for a big network, and Natalie Carti aspires to work in the sports business industry. Anna Schueler shares this passion for sports, and sees herself working for a sports franchise with a team or a professional league. Jess Angerman wants to take her lacrosse talents abroad, coaching and growing the game in Europe for a year.
Tess Korten is a future humanitarian, who sees herself involved in community engagement or charity work for a big company. Madeline Dion hopes to someday be an editor for a magazine.
Emily Braun, Hadie Evarts, and I have aspirations in the health care field. We'll let you know if that dream is still alive after we take Genetics this summer.
Allison Silber, a life-long learner, won't settle until she has four degrees. Professor Silber does have a nice ring to it. She also plans to become a ski instructor somewhere along the way.
I think Silber speaks for all of us when she says, "Dude, I'm loaded with plans."

Brooke Pancoast and Lauren Pryor planning for the future by attending a recent Student-Athlete Networking event through M-Pact.
If Team One hits the work force with half as much ambition as we brought to Ann Arbor in the fall of 2013, the corporate world is in for a treat.
For now, we'll stick to the task at hand, and that's competing in our second Big Ten matchup against a nationally-ranked Northwestern team. Check us out on Big Ten Network at 7 p.m. EDT!

Go Blue!
