ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan men's soccer head coach Chaka Daley announced on Friday (May 20) the addition of five student-athletes in Jack Hallahan (Redditch, England/Saint Augustine's Catholic), Joseph Hertgen (Toms River, N.J./Toms River North), Luke Rosendall (Ada, Mich./Forest Hills Eastern), Abdou Samake (Ottawa, Ontario/Louis-Riel) and Andrew Verdi (Ivyland, Pa./YSC Academy). All five join the program with true freshman eligibility.
"Our staff has worked diligently to find student-athletes that will complement our very ambitious and competitive returning group. Each will become an outstanding ambassador of our program and the University of Michigan, as they embody the term "student-athlete." They are not only highly regarded in the classroom, but they are soccer players who can and will compete in the growing culture of futbol on this campus, in the Big Ten and in the NCAA. We are excited to welcome this group and watch their evolution as young men within the culture of our Michigan soccer family."
