Sports Imports/AVCA National Player of the Week -- Just one day after being named the Big Ten Conference player of the week, junior outside hitter Carly Skjodt was named the Sports Imports/AVCA National Player of the week, the organization announced Tuesday (Nov. 21). The Carmel, Indiana, native led Michigan to back-to-back victories over top-25 opponents last week, including a sweep of No. 8-ranked Michigan State (Nov. 15) and a 3-1 victory over No. 15-ranked Purdue (Nov. 18). Skjodt led the Wolverines with 17 kills at a .351 attack average and added 12 digs for a double-double against Michigan State. She then led Michigan with 16 kills and 16 digs against Purdue for her second-straight double-double and the Wolverines' first win over the Boilermakers since 2010. Skjodt is the second player in Michigan history to earn the national award, joining Juliana Paz (Nov. 24, 2009). » AVCA Release

Big Ten Player of the Week -- Junior outside hitter Carly Skjodt was named the Big Ten Conference Player of the Week after guiding the Wolverines to back-to-back victories over No. 8-ranked Michigan State and No. 15-ranked Purdue last week. The junior averaged 4.7 kills per set and 4.00 digs per set to post a double-double in both matches. Skjodt also earned a .321 attack percentage through both contests to go with 33 kills and 28 total digs. She led Michigan kills in both efforts and led the Wolverines in digs against Purdue (Nov. 18), which marked the Wolverines' first win over the Boilermakers since 2010. » Big Ten Release
Claire Kieffer-Wright (Oct. 2)
Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week -- Senior middle blocker Claire Kieffer-Wright was named the Big Ten Conference Defensive Player of the Week after guiding Michigan to four-set victories over Ohio State and Maryland last weekend. The senior led the Wolverine defense with a career-high nine blocks on Friday (Sept. 29) and totaled a match-high seven blocks on Saturday (Sept. 30) to finish the weekend with 16 total blocks. She also led U-M with 15 kills in Saturday's victory and finished the weekend with a .440 kill percentage after averaging 3.5 kills per set. » Big Ten Release
Carly Skjodt (Sept. 18)
Big Ten Co-Player of the Week -- Junior outside hitter Carly Skjodt was named the Big Ten Player of the Week after guiding her team to a clean sweep of the Michigan Challenge Tournament. The junior led the Wolverine offense with 4.1 kills per set at a .358 attack average for the weekend, which included a season-high 16 kills over Milwaukee and a season-high .500 attack average against N.C. State. At the end of the weekend, Skjodt was named the MVP of the tournament. She shares the weekly honor with Penn State's Simone Lee. » Big Ten Release
Claire Kieffer-Wright (Aug. 15)
Preseason All-Big Ten -- Senior captain Claire Kieffer-Wright was named to the 15-player preseason All-Big Ten team. The middle blocker finished the 2016 campaign with a team-leading 129 total blocks and led the Wolverines in blocks 20 times. Additionally, Kieffer-Wright led the team in kills seven times and recorded double-digit kills in 11 straight matches to end the season. Her best performance of the year came during an NCAA second-round match against Oregon, when she set a career high with 20 kills and had a .720 attack percentage.
