» Michigan opened with a 289 (+1) total at Pepperdine's Southwestern Invitational, which put the Wolverines in a tie for fourth after 18 holes.
» With the Wolverines having up to as many as three holes remaining, play was called in the second round due to darkness. U-M is currently sitting two-over in the second 18 as a team.
» Ian Kim used four birdies and an eagle to highlight U-M's first round, posting a 71 (-1), his second sub-par round of the season.
» Kim used a 2-iron off the tee on par-4, 372-yard 16th hole, giving him 137 into green. With his pitching wedge, he went just over the flag to about a foot and watched it spin back and fall into the hole for the lone U-M eagle of the day.
