» Michigan swept vault as it posted its highest score on the apparatus with a 72.800.
» Three Wolverines earned career-bests on the vault table: freshman Jacob Moore (14.65), freshman Nick Guy (14.40) and sophomore Mitchell Brown (14.30).

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's gymnastics team fell to No. 8 Penn State 407.350-405.050 on Saturday (March 24) inside Cliff Keen Arena.
The Wolverines (7-4, 2-2 Big Ten) led the entire meet as they headed into the last rotation, but a few miscues in the final event allowed the Nittany Lions (11-4, 2-4 Big Ten) to claim the lead.
The afternoon started out on floor with strong performances from junior Emyre Cole and freshman Jacob Moore. Cole took the event title with a 14.25, while Moore finished third on the apparatus with a 13.90.
The Maize and Blue took on the pommel horse next with a huge performance from sophomore Mack Lasker, who scored a career-high 14.45 to tie for his first event title. A 14.45 is the ninth-highest score in the nation as of Week 10. Freshman Cameron Bock took home third on the event with a 13.30.
Michigan commanded the vault, as it took all three event titles while it earned top team score on the event this season with a 72.80. Cole earned first place on the apparatus with a 14.75 followed by redshirt-junior Marty Strech with a 14.70. Moore came in at third with a career-high 14.65. Freshman Nick Guy and sophomore Mitchell Brown achieved new career-highs with a 14.40 and 14.30, respectively.
Bock highlighted the Wolverines' performance on parallel bars with a new career-high 14.55 to take home second place on the event, followed by Cole in third place (14.35).
Senior Dmitri Belanovski finished third on still rings (14.10), along with redshirt-junior Alec Krystek on high bar (14.15).

Michigan will close out the regular season on Saturday (March 31), when U-M hosts Illinois-Chicago in a dual meet at Crisler Center at 2 p.m. The Wolverines also will compete in Crisler the following weekend (April 6-7), when Michigan hosts the 2018 Big Ten Championships.
