
Wolverines Conclude Weekend at USATF Championships

DES MOINES, Iowa -- Current and former University of Michigan track and field athletes wrapped up a weekend of competition at the USATF Outdoor Championships, held Thursday through Sunday (June 21-24) at Drake University.
Of the four current Wolverines who competed among the nation's best, Taylor McLaughlin led the way by qualifying for the final of the 400-meter hurdles with a pair of career-best performances. After clocking 49.25 in the first round, he one-upped himself in the semifinals with a 49.10.
McLaughlin elected to not compete in the final on Saturday.
Setting the standard for the U-M alumni in the field was Shannon Osika, who took seventh overall at 1,500 meters in 4:09.64.
